Benbrook

SLOW. Water stained; 40 degrees; 1.97 feet below pool. Crappie are biting really good with live minnows, or a crappie jig off of creek channel points and standing timber. Bass are extremely tough chasing shad in open water. Blue catfish are biting really good drifting in the open for blue catfish. Comanche Creek

GREAT. Water stained. 65 degrees; 0.36 feet above pool. Bass anglers continue to flock to this warm water fishery this winter. Black bass continue to be good to excellent in numbers with an occasional bigger fish to 8 pounds. Dropshot or Texas rigged soft plastics are popular. Limits of eater sized channel catfish continue to be caught on prepared baits. Report by Michael Acosta, Unfair Advantage Charters. Channel catfish can be caught on worms and hot dogs, but the bait producing the most catches is Mr. Whiskers cheese punch bait. Eagle Mountain

GOOD. Water stained; 49 degrees; 6.15 feet below pool. Fishing patterns continue to hold steady as the water temperature rises. White bass are fair on main lake structure on slabs and in mid depths on chartreuse and white cocahoes. Crappie are fair to good on brush piles shallow and in mid depths and main lake structure on jigs. Blue catfish and channel catfish are good on cut bait and punch bait on structure. Granbury

GOOD. Water lightly stained; 45 degrees; 0.24 feet below pool. Lake Granbury water level is full and the water temperatures are in the middle 40s and warming. The best action reported are big blue and yellow catfish biting cut shad on the upper ends. Crappie catches are good on small jigs worked around submerged timber mid lake from Water’s Edge to Bentwater. Striped and white bass are slow to fair on the upper ends close to the river channel. Best reports continue to come from in town to the Peninsula. Largemouth bass are slow to fair with catches up to 7 pounds on soft plastics worked near main lake points and deeper docks. Grapevine

SLOW. Water stained; 48 degrees; 1.74 feet above pool. Fishing can be slow but as long as you are slow and patient you will reel in some fish. White bass are deep water along the edges of the creek channels fishing with light lures or slabs with a stinger hook. Thump the bottom of the boat fishing with a slab and stinger hook. Lewisville

FAIR. Water lightly stained; 44 degrees; 0.95 feet below pool. White bass are fair in 45-65 feet of water in and around the river channels close to schools of baitfish. Slabs, jigs, and live bait are working. Keeper sized hybrid stripers are fair. They will be in similar depths as the white bass. If you are keeping fish, please be aware that there are a lot of undersized hybrid stripers in the lake that look very similar to a white bass. Catfish are fair drifting in 18-50 feet of water with cut shad or chicken breasts. Check in the river channels or on the flats nearby. Shallower water can be productive on warmer sunny days in the afternoon as well. Now is a great time to catch the bigger blue catfish. Crappie are fair to good in 6-32 feet of water near bridge columns, brush piles, standing timber, rock piles, stumps, and laydowns. Crappie are being caught both in the main lake and in the creeks. You can also catch some fish on traps, crankbaits, and jerkbaits in shallower rocky areas on the warmer sunny days.

Ray Roberts

FAIR. Water slightly stained; 45 degrees; 0.85 feet below pool. The bite is slower. Catfish drifting cut bait in 50-60 feet of water. Sand bass are deadsticking with small flukes in creek channels in deep water 40 feet of water. Should move shallow. A few catches of largemouth bass. Weatherford

SLOW. Water stained; 45 degrees; 7.36 feet below pool. Crappie are fair, with a few keepers being caught in the crappie house using minnows and jigs. Bass are slow, with a few catches in 15-20 feet of water. Reports of a few catches of small bass with crappie jigs at the crappie house. Catfish are slow with live or cut shad in deep water.

Worth

FAIR. Water normally stained; 39 degrees; 3.04 feet below pool. White bass are fair on main lake structure on slabs and in mid depths on chartreuse and white cocahoes. Crappie are fair to good on brush piles shallow and in mid depths and main lake structure on jigs. Blue catfish and channel catfish are good on cut bait and punch bait on structure.
